COOK TIME: 30 mins


  • Yogurt 2 cups
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Crushed coriander 1 ½ tsp
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Chicken Pieces 3 legs 2 Chests
  • Salt to taste
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Prepared masala 1/4 cup
  • CoalOil 1 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Marinated chicken
  • Masala 1 cup
  • Green chilies (chopped) as required
  • Tomato slices as required
  • Lemon slices as required
  • Green coriander (Chopped) as required


  1. In a bowl add yogurt, salt, black pepper, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mix well. Your Masala is ready.
  2. Take the chicken pieces and place deep cuts on it. Add salt, vinegar, prepared masala and marinate it well. Let it rest for 2-3 hours.
  3. Now smoke the marinated chicken with coal for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Now on a grill pan, grill the marinated chicken from each side for 3-4 minutes.
  5. Now on a pan, heat oil and fry the grilled chicken for 4-5 minutes while flipping the sides occasionally.
  6. Pour the prepared masala on chicken pieces and cook until water dries out. Add chopped chilies, lemon slices, and let it cook for 4 minutes or until fully cooked while shredding the chicken with metal spatula.
  7. Serve with naan or roti.
